Deck O Seal Deck-O-Seal Pool Deck One Step Sealant Desert Tan 11 oz. 4705013 Pack of 4 Tubes
DECK-O-SEAL ONE STEP is a single-component, non-sag, elastomeric, polysulfide-based sealing compound used for caulking joints in structures that are subject to movement caused by temperature changes. ONE STEP resists the effects of oil and gasoline when spills are wiped up immediately.
Deck O Seal Deck-O-Seal Pool Deck One Step Sealant Tan 11 oz. 4705013 is an Elastomeric, Single-Component, Non-Sag, Polysulfide, Polymer-Based Sealing Compound
DECK-O-SEAL ONE STEP is a single-component, non-sag, elastomeric, polysulfide-based sealing compound used for caulking joints in structures that are subject to movement caused by temperature changes. ONE STEP resists the effects of oil and gasoline when spills are wiped up immediately.DECK-O-SEAL ONE STEP is ideal for glazing operations and sealing joints in concrete structures. It bonds well to concrete, masonry, glass, metal and wood. It is ideally suited for applications when an expansion joint is required. NOTE: Do not paint DECK-O-SEAL.

APPLICATIONFollow these instructions carefully for maximum effectiveness. BE SURE TO WEAR PROTECTIVE SAFETY GLASSES AND CHEMICAL-RESISTANT GLOVES.Surface Preparation… Remove foreign substances, incompressibles and free water from joint opening. For proper adhesion, joints must be clean and dry. Dust, dirt and laitance should be removed prior to application. Concrete should be completely cured and free from all foreign materials and contamination from curing agents. (Industry accepted standard for curing concrete is 28 days.) To maintain cleanliness around the joint to be sealed, apply masking tape 2″ wide to the surfaces adjoining both sides of the joint before ONE STEP is applied … be sure to remove masking tape before the sealant starts to set.Priming… ONE STEP adheres well to unprimed concrete; however, REZI-WELD LV is recommended for optimum adhesion.Joint Sizes… Proper joint design practices and application techniques must be followed for successful performance. DECK-O-FOAM® or KOOL-ROD™ from W. R. MEADOWS may be used as a joint backing material to control sealant depth and provide joint configuration. A 2:1 width-to-depth ratio should be maintained. However, in no case should joint sealant depth be less than 1/4″ or exceed 1/2″. ONE STEP should NOT be used in joints less than 1/4″ (6.35 mm) wide and is NOT recommended for use in joints over 1″ in width.Application Method…ONE STEP may be applied by manual or air-operated caulking guns, putty knife or trowel. Under normal conditions (70° F and 50% relative humidity), ONE STEP will form a skin on the sealant in approximately eight hours. The time required for complete curing of the sealant depends on the size of the joint, temperature and humidity. High temperatures and high humidity promote rapid curing. Conversely, low temperatures and low humidity will result in a longer time required to develop the optimum qualities of the sealant.Cleanup… Application equipment should be cleaned promptly with xylene or toluene.PRODUCT MAINTENANCEDamaged sections of original sealant can be removed and resealed with ONE STEP. Joints must be cleaned if contaminated.PRECAUTIONSONE STEP is not recommended for horizontal joints where immediate foot or wheel traffic is anticipated prior to the full curing of the sealant. It is not compatible with asphalt and cannot be used in asphalt concrete pavement or with asphalt-impregnated expansion joint fillers. Do not use ONE STEP under water. NOTE: Do not paint DECK-O-SEAL. On commercial projects where faster cure time is needed, we recommend DECK-O-SEAL GUN GRADE two-part sealant.
